We are blessed with National Office Furniture and Dunaway Timber Company who provide many of our residents with employment. Fordsville Elementary School provides education for our youngsters. Fordsville Nursing and Rehab furnishes services for the elderly. Fordsville Area Clinic and Rice’s Drugs tends to the medical needs our community. There are several eating facilities available such as The Diner, Mom’s Kitchen and Sawmill Pizza carryout.

Our main tourist attraction is the Historical L & N Railroad Depot Museum with many interesting articles and displays. We’re fortunate to have various locally owned small businesses, Churches and service organizations who work together to make our town a better place to live. Many of our residents and individual businesses volunteer their time and resources to help all of us have a good life. We are proud of our town".
